Celeb-kids; Portraits of Innocence

An intimate exhibition presented by Creative Ctrl in collaboration with BSTO to reimagine the Celeb-Kids Online Exhibition as a self-reflective journey through seven artworks that serve as visual self-portraits.

Each piece captures the innocence, resilience, and hope of childhood while drawing parallels to the artist’s personal experiences.

By blending the universality of youth with deeply personal memories, Celeb-Kids becomes a mirror, not just for the artist but for the audience, inviting them to see themselves in the stories of growth, survival, and beauty.

Opening Reception

Two men having a conversation in a room with wooden panel walls, one seated with a microphone, another in white clothing, with a colorful painting in the background.

This exhibition was far more than just a display of artworks—it was an immersive experience that brought people together. It was about the connections formed and the stories shared.

Two people viewing art in a gallery, one wearing a white shirt and glasses, the other in a black jacket and cap, with paintings on the wall.

The conversations sparked during the opening reception Artist Talk, along with the incredible community that gathered to support the fundraising efforts for Kamorudeen’s late mother’s foundation—Ganiyat Olawale Victoria Aruna—made for a truly memorable evening. This sense of unity was further strengthened by the sale of four limited edition prints of an artwork created by Kam for Dj Daddy Yo, also known as Kelly Ugwu. These moments combined to beautifully cement the success of the evening.
